This wonderful itinerary will combine the impressive places located in the northern part of Peru. Arriving to the capital: Lima, the journey will continue to Trujillo, one of the most emblematic cities of the north, with beautiful places located in the desert and the sea.
The experience continues to the city of Chiclayo and then in a very subtle way, you will enter the northern jungle of Peru, with the visit of Chachapoyas, its highlights, natural attractions, cultural and vivential experiences.
Before returning to the capital, the experience will end with the visit of Tarapoto, characterized by the Amazonian cloud forest and its abundant palm trees.
Upon arrival at Lima’s airport, a private driver will be meeting and driving you to your hotel.

Overnight in Lima.
After breakfast, we will begin our day by walking through the Miraflores neighborhood visiting the famous Larcomar viewpoint, which provides beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.
We will continue with the visit of the Larco Herrera Museum, with a palpable explanation of Peru’s history before the Incas culture. The museum is filled with a valuable collection made up of more than 10,000 pieces of Mochica, Chimú and other Pre-Inca civilizations. For those interested in the most intimate customs of this ancient culture, the Museum's collection of erotic ceramics is a faithful and unique representation of its kind.
Return to the hotel and in the middle of the afternoon, a transport will take us to the airport to take a flight to the city of Trujillo. Upon arrival, we will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel located in the beach of Huanchaco for overnight.
In the morning, we will visit the city of Trujillo, highlighting its colonial richness with its baroque style houses, as well as republican art with its neoclassical mansions.
We will stop for lunch and then see the spectacular show of El Caballo de Paso Peruano (a special breed of Peruvian horse) and La Marinera (a traditional dance of the north of Peru).
In the afternoon we will go to one of the most amazing sites of Trujillo named “Chan Chan”, whose name means "Sun-Sun", they are recognized as the most extensive pre-Columbian “adobe” (bricks made of sand or dirt) citadel in the world, and used them to build Plazas, ceremonial centers , gathering places , water aqueducts and more.
Later on, we come back to Huanchaco for overnight.
We leave our hotel at Huanchaco, heading into one of the most wonderful restorations sites made by Backus Company: La Huaca de la Luna. It is where we can witness the history of the Moches culture; they were main 5 epochs shown on the construction signed by their makers with millions of adobe sand bricks. Then we will visit La Huaca del Sol, which is in process of restauration.
After the experience, we will leave Trujillo and head to city of Chiclayo, stopping on the way to visit La Huaca de La Señora de Cao and a beautiful village named Magdalena de Cao. Along the way, we will enjoy wonderful landscapes such as sugar fields and the Pacific Ocean. We will tour and explore this passionate place, see its museum and talk about the other sites nearby like Huaca Rajada.
After the visit, we will continue our way to the city of Chiclayo over the northern Panamericana road, stopping to stretch legs at Paramonga, beautiful coastal village with an impressive archeological site where one of the Peruvian gods showed up: the wing one, Wiracocha.
Finally, arrival to Chiclayo and overnight in the city.
After breakfast, we will depart towards the Lambayeque village and continue to the great
site of Tucume. We will walk and explore the local restoration and museum. Thor Heyerdahl, a Norwegian adventurer and ethnographer, conducted excavations between 1988 and 1992. There is an optional sidewalk to the Golgota Mountain to overlook the site.
After the visit, we will head towards the extraordinary modern museum of El Señor de Sipan, which houses real art jewels in gold, silver and copper discovered in several Mochica tombs. All the remains and treasures were found in the archaeological zone of Huaca Rajada. The tomb of El Señor de Sipan is one of the most important in the world, compared to Tutankhamun in Egypt.
Return to the hotel for overnight in Chiclayo.
In the morning, after breakfast we will visit the shaman market, interesting place to know some of the traditions and uses of the people from the north.
We will head out of the city to the Pomac forest, a protected area where we can see local flora and fauna, walk to the ancient tree and then continue to see the great pyramids of El Rey, which are under restoration.
Return to Chiclayo for lunch at a traditional restaurant and early in the afternoon, we will head to Cajamarca by bus. We will take the Panamerican road back to Paramonga, and follow the deviation to Cajamarca, witnessing amazing views on the road from coast to mountain temperate area.

A wonderful morning visiting the highlights of Cajamarca city. First of all, we will see the famous Cuarto del Rescate (Rescue room), that in our history is when Francisco Pizarro (a Spanish conqueror) arrived and captured the Inca Atahualpa (one of the two brothers heirs to the throne). The myth in history is that Atahualpa, seeing himself as a prisoner of Hispanic men, promised Pizarro to fill that room - as far as his hand (raised) could reach - of gold (once) and twice of silver, in exchange for his liberation.
We will continue to the campiña or skirts of the city, wonderful country site, where we will explore Las Ventanas de Otuzco (Otuzco windows), an ancient cemetery, which is been well preserved. Return to Cajamarca and we will stop for a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, we will head to Leimabamba by bus, getting into an ecological area, from mountains into cloud forest. Arrival to the place, we will visit the great museum of the mommies (270 of them) and listen to the fascinating stories and history of the Chachapoyas Culture.

We depart by car from Leimebamba to another amazing place in Peru: Kuelap. An imposing stone building built by the Chachapoyas people and protected by a wall of up to 20 meters, which, until recently, was only accessed by walking (2h30). Today, it can be reached in 20 minutes thanks to modern cable cars that depart from Nuevo Tingo.
After the exploration, we take our transportation to continue our trip to Chachapoyas, a brief tour on the city and a stop for lunch.
We will continue to Cocachimba, another highlight is waiting for us there: The Gocta Waterfalls. The waterfall is 771 meters high (around 2530 feet), a number that places it at number 15 on the world list of highest waterfalls in the world. Overnight in a wonderful lodge overlooking the fall. Dinner and overnight at Cocachimba.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we start our hike towards the Gocta waterfalls (around 5hrs. roundtrip). It will be an amazing walk with stories; the trail is up and down but an easy walk. We return to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon, we will travel to Tarapoto by bus, known as the "City of Palms", jungle region with a rain/cloud weather.
